I am Ana – a mother, creative, and an art lover with a curious mind.

Amongst my close friends, I am known as Anka, Aniuta, Anishoara, Anita, Anushka and any other pet name, as is common in my Moldovan culture. Adding a splash of sweetness to your first-name name, this tradition is an element of my culture that I cherish. Even my own mother had a special nickname for me, a memory I now treasure and hold close to my heart.

I am highly inspired by nature, specifically flowers, which have been a prominent feature throughout my life. The very region that I was born and grew up in, Bujor, translates to English as Peonie, which is aptly one of my favourite flowers. In the beautiful region where I spent my formative years, we would pick the sweet-smelling peonies and be blown away by the unbelievable scent each and every time.

I now live in Northern Ireland with my Irish man and our little girl named Jasmine. As my life has been so decorated by floral themes – how could I resist naming her after a flower? The roots of my artistic inspiration are found in nature, and mostly I love to paint watercolour leaves and flowers. Described by my loved ones as delicate, vibrant and with crisp details, my artwork shares with each of you a little piece of my heart.

Finding my moments of motivation and passion on the weekends or late into the evenings when I am alone and at peace, my creativity comes from moments of quiet. Besides painting, I love cycling, knitting, and walking with my family along the magnificent Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland.
